Terms of Service

These Terms set out the rules of using the website www.baltic-digital.org, operated by Foundation Baltic Digital Institute, and the rules of electronic services provided through the site.

§1. Definitions

Operator / Administrator — Foundation Baltic Digital Institute, registered office in Gdańsk, ul. Hołdu Pruskiego 6, 80-321 Gdańsk, Poland, entered in the National Court Register (KRS) under no. 0000890019, tax ID NIP 5213924185, statistical no. REGON 388560706, hereafter “BDI”, “Foundation”, “we”.

Service — the website at www.baltic-digital.org including all subpages.

User — any natural or legal person using the Service.

Content — all materials published in the Service: articles, programme descriptions, graphics, photos, reports, documents, forms.

Services — electronic services provided through the site: content access, contact forms, newsletter, course sign-up forms and donations.

§2. General provisions

The Service is operated for the Foundation's statutory purposes — educational, informational and social — in line with public-benefit goals.

Use of the Service is free of charge. Some educational programmes may require sign-up or a fee, in which case the conditions are stated on the programme's page.

The Operator strives to keep the Service continuously available but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation and reserves the right to scheduled maintenance.

All copyrights to Content published in the Service belong to the Operator or to third parties that have granted publication consent, and are protected by copyright law.

§3. Technical requirements

To properly use the Service the User needs:

• a device with internet access and an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge no older than 24 months),

• JavaScript and cookies enabled,

• for forms — an active e-mail account.

§4. Rules of use

The User undertakes to use the Service in line with its purpose, applicable law and good practice.

It is prohibited to upload unlawful content, attempt unauthorised access, actions destabilising the Service, or automated scraping of content without the Operator's written consent.

The Operator may block access for Users in breach of these Terms or applicable law.

§5. Contact and sign-up forms

Filling and submitting a form on the Service is voluntary and constitutes acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Data provided in the form is used solely to handle the enquiry, follow-up or sign-up to an educational programme.

§6. Donations

The site enables support of the Foundation's statutory activity through a donation to its bank account.

To obtain transfer details (account number, title, recipient), the User contacts the Operator at kontakt@baltic-digital.org or via the contact form on the Service. The Operator provides the details by e-mail. This procedure applies for security reasons and to prevent abuse.

Donations are voluntary and non-refundable, subject to applicable law.

The Operator does not charge any commission — 100% goes to the Foundation's statutory goals.

On request the Operator issues a written donation confirmation for accounting or tax purposes.

§7. Cookies and privacy

The Service uses cookies to ensure proper operation, traffic analytics (with consent under Consent Mode v2) and personalisation.

Users may withdraw consent to analytical and marketing cookies at any time using the consent banner or browser settings.

§8. Liability

Content on the Service is informational and educational — it is not legal, financial, tax or professional advice.

The Operator is not liable for the consequences of actions taken by Users on the basis of Content, in particular business or investment decisions.

The Operator is not liable for the content of external sites linked from the Service.

§9. Complaints procedure

Complaints regarding the Service or Services may be filed:

• by e-mail to: kontakt@baltic-digital.org,

• by post to the Foundation's registered office.

A complaint should include the User's details, a description of the situation and the desired resolution.

The Operator responds within 14 business days of receipt.

§10. Final provisions

These Terms are effective from 21 May 2026.

The Operator may amend the Terms — changes are published in the Service together with the date of entry into force.

Matters not regulated herein are governed by Polish law, in particular the Civil Code, the Act on the Provision of Electronic Services and the GDPR.

Disputes arising from use of the Service are subject to the jurisdiction of Polish courts competent for the Operator's registered office.
